Forty years ago, Ken and Ruth Wilson founded Wilson Tool International®, Inc., or Wilson Tool Company as it was originally known, in the basement of a building in the warehouse district of St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. Today, that simple tool and die shop has grown into the largest independent supplier of tooling for sheet metal manufacturers worldwide.

Our Series 90® tooling systems, with their unrivaled list of features and benefits, have become the most popular tooling systems for turret punch presses in the world. Our high precision line of Trumpf® style tooling, which includes the recently introduced 2-4-1™ Tooling System, is unmatched in features, quality, and performance. To further compliment our punch press tooling lines, we offer the widest variety of special tooling supported by the shortest lead times in the industry. And, all of our punch press tooling systems are available with our proprietary Optima® coating, which provides the longest tool life available, as well as maximum resistance to galling and corner breakdown.

Cutting Edge Bending Technology
Wilson Tool International® has also become a global leader in press brake tooling. Since entering the press brake tooling market in 1994, our precision ground European style press brake tooling system has risen in prominence in North America and is gaining rapid acceptance as the standard of quality by which all other press brake tooling is measured. We manufacture our press brake tooling in North America's most technologically advanced press brake tooling facility. Our exclusive Nitrex high endurance surface enhancement is standard on all press brake components and increases press brake tooling life by several times that of ordinary tooling. Wilson’s patented process provides a surface hardness of HRC-70, increasing long-term durability and minimizing galling in even the toughest bending situations..

Innovative Stamping Solutions
Impax Tooling Solutions®, the newest division of Wilson Tool International®, manufactures high quality punch and die components for the stamping industry. Impax Tooling Solutions® was started with an investment of several million dollars in state of the art manufacturing equipment, and spent over four years on research and development. Focused on customer service, it provides ultra-fast lead times on standard products, round tip forms and special 2D shapes. It also has a computerized order entry system installed, making it possible for customers to order directly from the factory. Customers may select from multiple tool steels when ordering, which include M2, M4, 10V, 9V, and 3V. Punches are also available with the company's proprietary Optima® coating for maximum resistance to wear, corner breakdown, and galling. The unique Impax Tooling Solutions® approach to tooling design, quality, accuracy, and customer service, provides customers with a new and better way to acquire tooling components.

All of our products are manufactured at our 350,000 sq. ft. (32,600 sq. m) manufacturing facility located in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, USA and our newly built 60,000 sq. ft. (5,600 sq. m) facility located in Swindon, England. These facilities are continually updated with the latest in manufacturing, inspection, and material handling technology. We compliment our manufacturing capacity with a highly trained and dedicated work force that is among the best in the world.
