Q: We have an extensive inventory of standard 2V dies that we use in our European press brake. We would like to be able to use the solid 32.87" and 16.34" versions of these dies in the same setup as the equivalent sectionalized versions. However, the difference in tool height has made this impossible. Do you have a solution?
A: Yes! Most European press brakes come standard with 2.953" (75 mm) tall 2V die holders. When a standard 2V die is mounted to this holder, the combined height is 3.976" (101 mm). This same height can be achieved with a sectionalized 2V die by mounting it and the 2V die rail that is required to a 1.772" (45 mm) tall 2V die holder (Wilson Tool part #43022).
