New Technologies Unveiled

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Wilson Tool booth at Fabtech International in Chicago. We always enjoy the opportunity to chat with friends old and new about our latest innovations.

If you didn’t get a chance to stop by, here are some of the new products that were highlighted.

A-Plus™ Series: This new line of Trumpf-style special tools extends the range of forming in the A-dimension, allowing for longer and larger forms. A-Plus offers a full additional 1.0” (25.4mm) or more in your forming applications.

Wilson Wheels: Four special new rolling tools join the Wilson Wheel family of products. The Rolling Logo, Rolling Knurl, Rolling EKO and Rolling Flare offer fabricators the same flexible, high-speed production with virtually no burrs or nibble marks. The Wilson Wheel family of products cuts cycle times, reduces waste and produces higher quality products to support all your lean manufacturing goals.

Die Holders: Wilson Tool now offers press brake fabricators two innovative methods to dramatically speed up setups. Both the PowerExpress® and Wilson Express Clamp® die holders eliminate the need for set screws and allow users to change dies in moments.

Push Button Die Clamping
The automated PowerExpress hydraulic die clamp offers one touch clamping for American-style press brakes. Once the die is loaded, the press operator simply presses a button to securely and accurately clamp the die in place. Another press of the button unclamps the die for rapid changeouts.

One Step Mechanical Die Clamping
The Wilson Express Clamp die holder is the mechanical alternative for instant die clamping, locking press brake dies in place with the pull of a lever. The Wilson Express Clamp die holder is compatible with virtually any make or model of American style press brake.

Nitrex Surface Enhancement Increases Clamp Life
Both the PowerExpress and Wilson Express Clamp die holder are treated with Wilson Tool’s exclusive Nitrex high endurance surface enhancement. Wilson’s patented process provides a surface hardness of HRC-70, increasing long-term durability and minimizing galling. In even the toughest bending situations, Nitrex will extend the life of your die clamps by several times that of untreated beams.
