Extend Your 'A' Dimension

A-Plus SeriesMaximize your ‘A’ dimension with the A-Plus™ Series of tooling from Wilson Tool. This new line of Trumpf-style special tools extends the range of forming in the A-dimension, allowing for longer and larger forms. A-Plus offers a full additional 1.0” (25.4mm) or more in your forming applications.

Louver – 4.0” (101.6mm) (max):
This Wilson Tool designed louver has built-in stripping in the lower unit for trouble free sheet travel and simple programming. It also has a replaceable forming unit in the die, enabling cost effective refurbishment.

Louver Style Lance & Form – 3.5” (88.9mm) (max): Lance and forms can be used in many applications, such as for airflow, decoration, location markers, sheer tabs, wire harnesses, and clip attachments. With the additional 1.0” (25.4mm) along the A-dimension you are now able to reach beyond the limitations of standard tooling.

Card Guide – 3.4” (86.4mm) (max):
Wilson Tool’s years of experience in engineering and development of card guides has resulted in a change of design, creating the finest card guide tools in the world. Card guide tools may appear an expensive investment at first, but vast savings can be made over other methods of inserting guides, such as plastic inserts. Taking all the costs of extra material handling involved with secondary operations into account, these are the most effective tools in the market; and now they have been enhanced with an additional inch of length along the A-dimension.

  • A-Plus Series tooling available for most Trumpf Group I machines and the Pullmax 720 machine. Machine specifications subject to change.

  • Trumpf-style A-Plus Series tooling requires a modified cartridge.

Tricks of the Trade: Bending
Wilson Tool Laser Marks Make Finding the Right Tool Easy.

Laser MarksQ: We have a large inventory of sectionalized 88° and 90° tooling. Many of them are the same shape and share common tip radii. Consequently, it can be difficult to tell the 88° from the 90° sections. How does Wilson Tool address this problem?

A: In designing our line of press brake tooling, Wilson Tool recognized that this was a problem. Therefore, we laser mark all long, short and largest sections in the sectionalized sets with the part number that appears in the catalog, the angle and radius/v size. The smaller pieces of the sectionalized sets are laser marked with the catalog number for easy reference.
