Fox Valley Tech college to host manufacturers Two-day course to focus on job skills training for engineers, designers and operators

WHITE BEAR LAKE, MINN., June 21, 2017 – Summer school is just around the corner for sheet metal manufacturers. Fox Valley Technical College in Oshkosh, Wis. will be the host site for two days of in-depth courses on June 27 and 28 called the “Wilson Tool Summer Brake School: Improving Bending Workflow.”

Designed to arm manufacturers with valuable career skills necessary to tackle on-the-job obstacles found in common manufacturing processes, the curriculum will present proven manufacturing solutions and press brake techniques.

June 28 – 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
 
Local media are invited to attend at any time throughout the two-day schedule.
 
The course is spearheaded by Minnesota-based Wilson Tool International, the largest independent manufacturer of tooling systems for punch presses, press brakes, and punch and die components for the stamping and tableting industries.

  • Solidworks design specific to sheet metal
  • Hands-on programming and bending at the press brake
  • Lean press brake methods for operations
  • Punch and die selection using bend limit graphs and air bend force chart
  • Organization at the press brake
  • Bending a part from the program, produced in the programming seminar
  • LazerGuard options for the press brake
  • Expert instructors from Cincinnati Incorporated, Solidworks by Computer Aided Technology (CATI), Greenheck Fan Corporation, Lazersafe and Wilson Tool International
