WHITE BEAR LAKE, MINN., June 29, 2018 – Wilson Tool International and Mate Precision Tooling today announced that they recently settled their dispute regarding Mate’s alleged infringement of Wilson Tool’s U.S. Patent Nos. 9,687,994 and 9,776,337 for two-piece, insert-style punch assemblies. As part of their agreement, Wilson Tool has agreed to license certain of its two-piece, insert-style punch assembly patents to Mate. This license allows Mate to continue to sell its QCT™ – Quick Change Tooling System line of products worldwide. Mate also agreed to exclusively sell Wilson Tool’s press brake crowning and clamping products worldwide.
