WHITE BEAR LAKE, MINN. (September 24, 2013) – Wilson Tool International will celebrate the second annual national Manufacturing Day on Friday, Oct. 4, with an open house, including tours of its manufacturing facility, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 12912 Farnham Avenue, White Bear Lake, Minn.
Manufacturing Day is an annual national event that brings together hundreds of manufacturers to host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.
Wilson Tool is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of tooling systems in the sheet metal industry. The company prides itself on lean manufacturing practices and is an excellent example of manufacturing in the 21stcentury.
The event is free and open to the public.
In addition, Wilson Tool will hold an Explore Manufacturing event on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. that is open to students of all ages, parents and teachers interested in learning more about manufacturing. The event will feature presentations by employees explaining their positions and the path they took to get there as well as a tour of the facility.
